Prodeca, the promoter of Catalan food, and the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of Catalonia made a prospecting trip to Nigeria, in which they met with institutional representatives, associations and business agents, and businessmen, with the objective of exploring commercial opportunities for the meat sector.
The delegation headed by the director of Prodeca, Ramon Sentmartí, counted with the following sectorial entities:
ANAFRIC (Meat Business Association)
FECIC (Business Federation of Meat and Meat Industries)
FAC (Catalan Poultry Federation)
Association of Egg Producers of Catalonia
Despite the challenges the sector is facing in Nigeria, I, Ingrid Asensio; together with my partners, were able to deliver top-notch consultancy services to the delegation by closing meeting with the Abuja Chamber of Commerce, the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Commerce and importers and food distributors in the country.
